Dog Frame TV Art

For a lot of households, the dog is the art. This collection of 55 dog paintings leans into the breeds people look for most – a golden retriever asleep on a farmhouse porch, in autumn leaves, on a beach at dawn – alongside a black labrador by a duck pond, a French bulldog on a velvet cushion, a beagle following a scent and a Cavalier King Charles spaniel in a rose garden.

A few are playful (a royal portrait of a dog in a velvet cape, a chihuahua wrapped in a blanket); most are calm enough to leave up all day, in loose watercolor, impressionist and tonal oil and storybook gouache. Every one is an original painting, not a photo filter.
