About this Frame TV artwork
A painting of calavera cat with flower patterns, handled like a naturalist's plate – attentive to the creature, restrained in the background – and composed for a 4K TV display.
Gouache gives the design flat, velvety colour and crisp decorative shapes – a matte finish that hides the fact that it is on a screen. The medium is cut-paper folk illustration.
It works well in a bedroom, where the muted tones and low Art Mode brightness keep the TV from glowing at night. For the most convincing result set Art Mode brightness two or three notches below the default and the colour tone to warm; the painted surface then looks matte rather than lit.
Format: 3840 × 2160 JPEG, 16:9, sRGB – ready to upload through the SmartThings app or a USB stick with no editing. Part of the 1,267-piece Frame TV art bundle.
