About this Frame TV artwork
A painting of alebrije hummingbird among flowers, handled like a naturalist's plate – attentive to the creature, restrained in the background – and composed for a 4K TV display.
Gouache gives the design flat, velvety colour and crisp decorative shapes – a matte finish that hides the fact that it is on a screen. The medium is decorative folk gouache.
It works well in a bedroom, where the muted tones and low Art Mode brightness keep the TV from glowing at night. If the image looks too bright, the Frame's Art Mode settings let you lower brightness independently of TV mode; a small reduction goes a long way with this palette.
Format: 3840 × 2160 JPEG, 16:9, sRGB – ready to upload through the SmartThings app or a USB stick with no editing. Part of the 1,267-piece Frame TV art bundle.
