About this Frame TV artwork

A landscape of sequoia trunk with a tiny hiker for scale, painted so the eye travels across the width of the screen rather than into a single point – which is what makes it feel like art rather than a photo on a Frame TV.

Drawn in the manner of an old plate engraving, all fine line and cross-hatching on toned paper, it passes for a framed antique from across the room. The medium is vintage plate engraving.

It is a natural fit for a dining room or kitchen Frame, where a painted subject at eye level reads as a hung canvas. Leave the Frame's motion sensor on so the panel dims when the room is empty – it makes the difference between a painting and a screen.

The file is delivered at 3840 × 2160 pixels (4K UHD, 16:9) as an sRGB JPEG – the native resolution of every Samsung Frame from 43" to 85" and a format every 4K TV, Roku and Fire TV accepts. It is included in the 1,267-design Frame TV art bundle.
