About this Frame TV artwork
A painting of sea lions on a rocky California shore, handled like a naturalist's plate – attentive to the creature, restrained in the background – and composed for a 4K TV display.
Gouache gives the design flat, velvety colour and crisp decorative shapes – a matte finish that hides the fact that it is on a screen. The medium is naturalist gouache.
Try it in a hallway or study Frame with a wide matte – the extra border makes the composition feel gallery-hung. If the image looks too bright, the Frame's Art Mode settings let you lower brightness independently of TV mode; a small reduction goes a long way with this palette.
Supplied as a 3840 × 2160 sRGB JPEG, it needs no resizing or cropping for the Samsung Frame, and displays correctly on LG, Sony, TCL and Hisense art-mode TVs too. This design is one of 1,267 in the bundle.
