About this Frame TV artwork
A painting of black women friends sharing lemonade on a porch – a hint of a story without a face to meet the eye, which is what makes figurative art work on a TV.
Gouache gives the design flat, velvety colour and crisp decorative shapes – a matte finish that hides the fact that it is on a screen. The medium is decorative folk gouache.
It works well in a bedroom, where the muted tones and low Art Mode brightness keep the TV from glowing at night. For the most convincing result set Art Mode brightness two or three notches below the default and the colour tone to warm; the painted surface then looks matte rather than lit.
Format: 3840 × 2160 JPEG, 16:9, sRGB – ready to upload through the SmartThings app or a USB stick with no editing. Part of the 1,267-piece Frame TV art bundle.
