About this Frame TV artwork
Black family picnic under a big oak: a figurative piece with an anonymous figure, seen from behind or at a distance, so it stays restful on a screen you look at every day.
The oil-painting treatment gives it weight: layered, opaque colour, brush marks that follow the forms, and a warm ground showing at the edges of shapes. The medium is expressive palette-knife painting.
It suits a living-room Frame TV above a sofa, where the wide composition can be seen from across the room. Leave the Frame's motion sensor on so the panel dims when the room is empty – it makes the difference between a painting and a screen.
Supplied as a 3840 × 2160 sRGB JPEG, it needs no resizing or cropping for the Samsung Frame, and displays correctly on LG, Sony, TCL and Hisense art-mode TVs too. This design is one of 1,267 in the bundle.
