Magnolia bud detail on grey paper
Monochrome minimalist abstraction
Monochrome minimalist abstraction · Frame TV art from the botanical collection
A botanical study of valentine minimal single red rose stem. The plant is placed off-centre with breathing room, which is what keeps close-up floral art from feeling cramped on a wide screen.
It is deliberately spare – ink and wash, a few decisive lines and large areas of empty paper – which makes it one of the calmer pieces to leave on a TV all day. The medium is monochrome minimalist abstraction.
It works well in a bedroom, where the muted tones and low Art Mode brightness keep the TV from glowing at night. If the image looks too bright, the Frame's Art Mode settings let you lower brightness independently of TV mode; a small reduction goes a long way with this palette. It is one of the Valentine's designs and, being text-free, works just as well for an anniversary.
Format: 3840 × 2160 JPEG, 16:9, sRGB – ready to upload through the SmartThings app or a USB stick with no editing. Part of the 1,267-piece Frame TV art bundle.
