About this Frame TV artwork

A botanical study of frost on rosehips and seed heads. The plant is placed off-centre with breathing room, which is what keeps close-up floral art from feeling cramped on a wide screen.

The vintage-style engraving treatment uses fine hatched line and a restrained, aged palette, without the plate numbers or labels of a real antique print. The medium is vintage plate engraving.

It pairs well with a warm-white matte on the Frame, which pulls the palette together and hides the panel edge. For the most convincing result set Art Mode brightness two or three notches below the default and the colour tone to warm; the painted surface then looks matte rather than lit.
